Mariniculture:

As the fishing industry is currently taking strain under depeltion of fish stocks and a strict Quota system imposed by Government this is a PRIME AREA for development potential.

EXISTING DEVELOPMENTS:

There are currently a couple of Mussle Farms, Oyster Farms and Abalone Farms in the area.

POTENTIAL:

This lies in support services for these industries as well as farming with new Species.

CROPS:

The primary crops grown in the area is wheat and wheat related crops and inland there are some vineyards.

This lies in Vegatable Farming as well as Other Crops.
With the increase in Feul Prices transportation from here to a market and back again is adding to the retail value to the extent that sales are decreasing at end of line.

For different kinds of livestock such as Pigs, Beef, and Chickens Large scope exists, specialy if this is intended for the local market.
